Muhitdin Mustafayev is a Co-Managing Partner at ABACUS and Head of its Tax and Commercial Practice. He focuses on supporting businesses across the full range of their legal needs, representing clients in court, and advising on transactions and on corporate, commercial and tax law.
His expertise also extends to the regulation of information technology and media, banking and finance law, and construction and property development projects. He has experience of working with companies in foreign trade, manufacturing, consumer goods distribution, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, real estate, construction and banking.
Muhitdin represents clients at all levels of the court system, including the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He handles economic, administrative, civil and criminal cases and takes part in the pre-action settlement of commercial disputes.
- Advised on oil and gas projects under production sharing agreements (PSAs), including drafting and negotiating key contract terms and ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinated engagement with international investors and government authorities.
- Acted for the main contractor on the conclusion and performance of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts.
- Provided legal support to clients in the energy, construction, telecommunications and media sectors.
- Represented clients at all levels of the court system, including the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
